Dr Siti Laila Shikh A. Rahman graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 1993. She then obtained her qualification Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in 2000 at the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology in United Kingdom. During the same year, she completed her master of Medicine (MMED) Course in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at United Kingdom.

Prior to joining Puteri Specialist Hospital, she started her career at Hospital Muar as a House Officer in various clinical departments for 1 year from 1993 to 1994. She then served Hospital Batu Pahat from 1994 - 1996 then move to Hospital Muar in the year 1997 as Medical Officer. In the middle of her training, she started as a Registrar in department Obstetricians & Gynaecologist and Oncology department at Hospital Muar and Hospital Kuala Lumpur for 2 years. After that, she whereupon worked as a Clinical Obstetricians & Gynaecologists at Hospital Muar and Hospital Batu Pahat before signing on as a Resident Consultant at Puteri Specialist Hospital in 2003.
