Dr Nor Safariny Ahmad

Visiting Consultant General, Breast & Endocrine Surgeon

Dr Nor Safariny Ahmad is a Visiting Consultant General, Breast & Endocrine Surgeon at Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital, with extensive expertise in the diagnosis and surgical management of breast and endocrine conditions.

She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from International Medical University (IMU) in 2003 before completing her Master of Surgery at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2011. She subsequently pursued advanced training in Breast and Endocrine Surgery, including fellowship training with the Ministry of Health Malaysia.

Dr Nor Safariny has further enhanced her expertise through specialised training in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand, and endocrine surgery at Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA. She is also a Fellow of the European Board of Surgery in Breast Surgery (FEBS).

Her clinical interests include the management of breast diseases, breast cancer, benign breast conditions and endocrine surgical conditions. Her expertise in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery enables her to incorporate both cancer treatment and reconstructive considerations into the surgical care of suitable patients.

Dr Nor Safariny has also contributed to the advancement of breast healthcare in Malaysia, including her involvement in the development of national clinical practice guidelines for the management of breast cancer.

She is committed to providing personalised, evidence-based and compassionate surgical care, while helping patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options. Through clear communication and a patient-centred approach, she strives to support patients throughout their treatment and recovery journey.
