Resident Consultant Nuclear Medicine Physician

Dr Nisa Kamila Ab Rashid is a Resident Consultant Nuclear Medicine Physician at Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and subsequently completed her Master of Medicine in Nuclear Medicine at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).

With expertise in Nuclear Medicine, Dr Nisa is involved in the use of advanced molecular imaging and radionuclide-based therapies in the diagnosis and management of various medical conditions. Her areas of expertise include FDG PET/CT imaging for cancer detection and staging, as well as the evaluation of neurological and cardiac conditions. She is also experienced in radioactive iodine (I-131) therapy for thyroid disorders.

Dr Nisa is passionate about advancing the role of Nuclear Medicine in modern healthcare, particularly in supporting early and accurate diagnosis, personalised treatment planning and improved patient outcomes. She is actively involved in professional education and the advancement of Nuclear Medicine in Malaysia, having contributed to national conferences, scientific programmes and professional discussions in the field.

She is committed to providing safe, evidence-based and patient-centred care, while helping patients better understand their diagnosis and the role of Nuclear Medicine in their treatment journey.
