Who should take this screening:
- Women 40 years and above should have an annual mammogram for breast cancer screening.
- Women 39 years and below can do an ultrasound breast screening.
Preparation before the screening:
- Do not wear deodorant, talcum powder, or lotion under the axillary area or on your breast on the exam day. These can interfere with the mammogram result.
- If you have done previous mammograms from other locations, please obtain your prior mammogram from our Consultant Radiologist during the current exam. This is needed to compare it with your current exam.
- Scheduling your appointment a week after your period is generally the best time.
