Dr Iskandar Bin Hailani is a resident Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist (Ear, Nose & Throat Specialist) at KPJ Specialist Hospital. He obtained his foundational Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Malaya (UM) before pursuing his postgraduate training, earning a Master of Surgery (Otorhinolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).

To further his clinical focus, Dr Iskandar completed an advanced Fellowship in Otology and Lateral Skull Base Surgery. His practice encompasses general ear, nose, and throat disorders, with a specialised clinical interest in complex otological conditions and lateral skull base interventions. He is fully registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) and accredited under the National Specialist Register (NSR).

Clinical Focus Areas

Otology & Lateral Skull Base Interventions
• Diagnosis and management of complex ear conditions, chronic otitis media, and cholesteatoma
• Evaluation and management of hearing loss, tinnitus, vertigo, and balance disorders
• Surgical interventions for hearing restoration (e.g., tympanoplasty, ossiculoplasty)
• Assessment and surgical management of lateral skull base conditions and tumours (e.g., vestibular schwannoma/acoustic neuroma)

General Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) & Head and Neck Surgery
• Management of routine ear infections and ear canal disorders
• Diagnosis and management of nasal and sinus conditions, including allergic rhinitis and chronic sinusitis
• Evaluation of snoring, obstructive sleep apnea, and sleep-related breathing disorders
• Routine pediatric and adult ENT surgeries (e.g., tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, septoplasty)
• Application of advanced endoscopic and surgical techniques in head and neck evaluation
