Dr. Hafizan Mohd Tajri is a Consultant General and Vascular Surgeon with extensive experience in the management of surgical conditions affecting the vascular system and general abdominal health. He currently serves as a Resident Consultant at Damansara Specialist Hospital 2 and a Sessional Consultant at Tawakkal Specialist Hospital.

Dr. Hafizan earned his medical degree (MB BCh BAO) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) in 1996. He obtained his Master of Surgery (General Surgery) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2004 and subsequently completed a Fellowship in Vascular Surgery with the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM) in 2008.

With a career spanning more than two decades in public and private healthcare, Dr Hafizan has been actively involved in clinical practice, medical education, and the development of National Clinical Practice Guidelines. His clinical focus involves evidence-based management of various vasculopathies through both conventional operative and advanced endovascular techniques.

Clinical Interests & Procedures

• Vascular Access: Specialised in the creation, surveillance, and maintenance of Arteriovenous Fistula (AVF) for haemodialysis patients.
• Vascular Surgery: Management of peripheral arterial diseases and venous disorders (such as varicose veins) using surgical and endovascular methods.
• General Surgery: Evaluation and surgical treatment of common abdominal and soft tissue conditions.
• Endovascular Interventions: Minimally invasive procedures for vascular conditions.
