Dr. Zulkifli graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2000 and completed his Master in Otorhinolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2011.

He has extensive experience in general ENT cases and served as an ENT Surgeon at Hospital Tuanku Fauziah, Perlis for more than six years. He has also been involved in medical education as an Honorary Lecturer and as a Core Trainer for Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) on the management of otitis media in children and rhinosinusitis in adults.

Dr. Zulkifli is a Certified Medical Impairment Assessor (CMIA) from NIOSH and has a special interest in rhinology and sleep apnoea surgery. He received the Excellent Service Award from the Ministry of Health in 2008 and 2012.

His Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) registration number is 37317.
