Dato’ Dr Mohd Hamzah Kamarulzaman is a Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon with extensive experience in the surgical management of heart and chest conditions. His clinical practice includes coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, lung cancer and thoracic conditions.

He completed his medical degree at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) before pursuing specialist surgical training in the United Kingdom, where he obtained his FRCS (Ed.) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

His surgical expertise includes coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), heart valve surgery, intracardiac repair, aortic surgery and minimally invasive thoracic surgery. He has also held professional leadership roles, including serving as Vice President of the Malaysian Association for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery (MATCVS) and as Training Director of the Malaysian Board for Cardiothoracic Surgery.
