Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Murtazam Zainal Abidin is a Resident Consultant Cardiologist at Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 1982 and subsequently obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (MRCP Ireland) and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP UK) in 1987. He is registered as a specialist in Cardiology with the National Specialist Register of Malaysia.

With extensive experience in Cardiology, Dato' Dr. Ahmad Murtazam commenced his practice at Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital in 1995, following his tenure as a Senior Consultant Cardiologist at Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) from 1989 to 1995. His clinical experience encompasses both clinical and non-invasive cardiology, cardiac catheterisation and cardiac angiography, as well as interventional cardiac procedures.

Dato' Dr. Ahmad Murtazam has extensive experience in the management of heart rhythm disorders and was a pioneer of invasive electrophysiology in Malaysia. His clinical experience includes permanent cardiac pacemaker implantation, coronary angioplasty, balloon mitral valvuloplasty and radiofrequency ablation.

He is committed to providing comprehensive cardiac care through accurate diagnosis, appropriate intervention and ongoing management of cardiovascular conditions. Drawing on his extensive experience in clinical and interventional cardiology, Dr. Ahmad Murtazam continues to support patients in managing their heart health and achieving better long-term cardiovascular outcomes.
