A CT Coronary Angiogram (CTCA) is a non-invasive imaging procedure that uses computed tomography (CT) to visualise the coronary arteries and assess the blood vessels supplying the heart.
Have risk factors for coronary artery disease, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol or a family history of heart disease.
Experience symptoms such as chest discomfort, shortness of breath or unexplained fatigue that may require further cardiac assessment
Require further evaluation of the coronary arteries following a consultation with a doctor.

1. Renal Function Blood Test
A blood test is performed to assess kidney function before the CT examination.
2. CT Coronary Angiogram
A CT scan is performed to obtain detailed images of the coronary arteries.
3. Consultant Radiologist Reporting
The CT images are reviewed and reported by a Consultant Radiologist.
4. Cardiologist Consultation
The findings are discussed with a Cardiologist, who can provide further clinical assessment and recommendations where appropriate.
