Oct 05, 2026

Klang, 5 October 2026 – KPJ Healthcare Berhad continued its efforts to promote hearing health awareness among young Malaysians through the KPJ Sound of Hope – Hear Better. Dream Bigger. programme at SMK Meru, Klang, Selangor.

Organised in collaboration with JLG REIT Managers Sdn. Bhd., the school outreach brought together healthcare professionals and students for an engaging educational session aimed at encouraging early detection and better hearing care practices.

A total of 350 students participated in the hearing health awareness session, which highlighted the importance of protecting their hearing, recognising early signs of hearing difficulties and adopting healthy listening habits.

As part of the initiative, 43 pre-selected students underwent complimentary video otoscopy screenings, providing an opportunity to identify potential ear health concerns that may require further medical attention.

The programme also featured interactive educational activities and pop quizzes, creating an enjoyable learning environment while encouraging students to take a more proactive role in safeguarding their hearing health.

The outreach at SMK Meru forms part of KPJ Sound of Hope's nationwide initiative to reach 4,500 students across 15 public secondary schools in five states between September 2026 and April 2027.

Through continued collaboration with its strategic partners, healthcare professionals and school communities, KPJ Healthcare remains committed to extending its Care for Life philosophy beyond hospital walls, empowering the next generation to hear better, learn confidently and dream bigger.
