KPJ Healthcare Promotes Healthier Journeys This Merdeka Through Care for Life: Balik Kampung Edition

Aug 29, 2026

Seremban, 29 August 2026 – In conjunction with the Merdeka weekend, KPJ Healthcare Berhad brought its Care for Life: Balik Kampung Edition initiative to PLUS R&R Seremban (Southbound), encouraging motorists and their families to prioritise their health and well-being while travelling.

Organised in collaboration with PLUS Malaysia Berhad, the initiative saw the deployment of the Klinik Waqaf An-Nur (KWAN) Mobile Clinic, bringing accessible healthcare services directly to highway users during the festive travel period.

Supported by 18 dedicated KPJ CSR Warriors, including doctors, nurses and volunteers from KPJ Kajang Specialist Hospital and KPJ Seremban Specialist Hospital, the programme provided complimentary basic health screenings, including blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol and body mass index (BMI) assessments. Medical consultations and basic medication were also made available to participants requiring further attention.

A total of 120 road users benefited from the health screenings, while 50 KPJ Care Kits were distributed as part of the initiative. The activation also featured family-friendly activities, creating a welcoming environment for travellers to take a short break and focus on their well-being before continuing their journeys.

The initiative reflects KPJ's ongoing commitment to extending healthcare beyond hospital walls through strategic community partnerships. By bringing essential preventive healthcare services to highway rest stops, KPJ continues to champion health awareness and accessibility among Malaysians on the move.

Through Care for Life: Balik Kampung Edition, KPJ Healthcare remains dedicated to making every journey not only safer, but healthier, in line with its Care for Life commitment.
