Dr. Azizul bin Idris

Information

Dr Azizul bin Idris began his medical career as a House Officer at Sarawak General Hospital, where he served in the Surgery, Paediatric, and Obstetrics & Gynaecology Departments. He then continued as a Medical Officer at Miri Hospital under the Anaesthesiology & ICU Department.

In 2010, Dr Azizul joined KPJ Kuching Specialist Hospital, where he served in the Accident & Emergency Department until 2021. Since then, he has been practising as an Occupational Health Doctor at the Health Screening Centre.

Dr Azizul obtained his Doctor of Medicine (M.D) degree from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) in 2002. He holds an Occupational Health Certificate from the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), awarded in 2014, and became a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO) under the Academy of Occupational and Environmental Medicine Malaysia (AOEMM) in 2015. He later completed his Master of Community Health (Occupational Health) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2017.

Currently, Dr Azizul serves as an Occupational Health Doctor at the Health Screening Centre. He is a Tabung Haji Approved Doctor for Hajj and Umrah operations, and a designated Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre provider. In addition, he is the Lead Coordinator and Lead Instructor for Basic Life Support (BLS) training.
