Dr Aina Shafiza Ab Azis @ Abd Aziz is a Consultant General Surgeon practising as a Resident Consultant at Johor Specialist Hospital.

She obtained her Medical Degree (MD) from Universitas Sumatera Utara, Indonesia, and completed her postgraduate Master of Surgery (M.Surg / Doctor of Surgery) at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). She also holds a Gazetted Special Interest certification in Breast and Endocrine Surgery (GSWI in B&E) from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM).

In her general surgical practice, Dr Aina Shafiza provides diagnostic evaluations, clinical management, and surgical interventions for a wide range of general surgical conditions, with a focus area on breast and endocrine disorders.

Clinical Focus & Areas of Interest

• Breast & Endocrine Surgery: Management of benign breast diseases, breast cancer surgery, oncoplastic breast surgery, and total thyroidectomy utilising Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM).
• General Surgery: Open and laparoscopic hernia repair, appendicectomy, and management of general surgical conditions.
• Endoscopy: Diagnostic Esophago-Gastro-Duodenoscopy (OGDS) and Colonoscopy.
• Wound Care: Clinical management of acute, chronic, and burn wounds.
