Dr. Ahmad Nordin Bin Afandi is an experienced Otorhinolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in Head and Neck Surgery. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Malaya in 2000, followed by a Master of Surgery in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (MS ORL-HNS, UM) in 2009. His early medical training began at Sarawak General Hospital before he continued his career at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kota Kinabalu, where he established himself as an ENT surgeon.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ahmad Nordin has been actively involved in providing comprehensive ENT, head and neck services across major healthcare facilities in Sabah. His clinical interests encompass complex head and neck conditions and multidisciplinary management involving skull base cases, sleep disorders, paediatric craniofacial conditions and head and neck oncology. He works closely with specialists from other disciplines in the management of patients requiring coordinated and complex care.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Ahmad Nordin is actively involved in professional and community healthcare initiatives. He has participated in medical health camps and head and neck cancer screening programmes in smaller towns and rural communities throughout Sabah. His contribution to the development of the specialty also extends to professional leadership, having served as the first president of the College of Otorhinolaryngologists Head and Neck Surgeons under the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia in 2022. His continued involvement in clinical service, multidisciplinary collaboration and community outreach reflects his commitment to advancing ENT and head and neck care in Sabah.
