      Why do people get cataract surgery? 

      • Cataracts can cause blurry vision and increase the glare from lights.  If a cataract makes it difficult for you to carry out your normal activities, our Consultant Ophthalmologist may suggest cataract surgery.
      • During cataract surgery, our Consultant Ophthalmologist removes the clouded lens and replaces it with a new, artificial lens.
