Vaccination Of Healthcare Frontliners In Private Sector

3 March 2021 - KPJ Healthcare has been made aware of a viral posting which has been circulated on social media regarding to the on-going Phase 1 vaccination program by the Government.

KPJ Healthcare has been working closely with the Ministry of Health (“MOH”), the respective state health departments (“Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri”) and also individual district health offices (“Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah”) with regards to the implementation of the Phase 1 vaccination for private sector healthcare frontliners.

The said posting does not reflect the spirit and nature of KPJ’s collaboration with the authorities on this matter. KPJ would also like to categorically state that the posting was unauthorised and done without approval of KPJ.

KPJ would also like to highlight that as part of the Phase 1 Covid-19 immunisation program, KPJ Tawakkal KL Specialist Hospital has been designated as one of two vaccination centres for private healthcare frontliners in Kuala Lumpur and Wilayah Persekutuan, and have been providing vaccinations since 1 March 2021. More than 300 people have been vaccinated as at 3 March 2021 and KPJ Tawakkal KL is expected to vaccinate a total of 2,267 people by end of April. In addition, all KPJ Healthcare hospitals have offered and stand ready to assist MOH in the roll out of the Phase 1 vaccination program if required.

KPJ Healthcare will continue to support and work closely with MOH, respective state health departments and district health offices in facilitating the government’s national vaccination program.
