Safety Guidelines
At KPJ Healthcare, patient safety is our top priority, and we place it at the forefront of our healthcare mission. We are fully committed to creating a secure environment for our patients. Here are some important points for patients and their families to keep in mind to enhance safety:
• Provide our team with information regarding any allergies or medications.
• Monitor and report changes in your condition.
• Ask questions about your care and treatments.
• Follow your doctor's advice on activities or mobility that can be performed.
• Use bed controls to lower your bed and use call systems for assistance.
• Use the call system in the bathroom if you require assistance in getting back to bed.
• Wear non-skid footwear for safety.
• Keep essential items within easy reach.
Your safety is our focus, and we are here to provide the best possible care.
Patient Safety
KPJ Healthcare places great importance on safety and security measures within our facilities. To ensure a secure environment, we request our patients and visitors to adhere to these safety rules and regulations within our hospital premises.
Surveillance
Our hospitals are equipped with 24-hour closed-circuit TV monitors and a team of dedicated security personnel are stationed at every entrance, providing round-the-clock surveillance to ensure the safety of all individuals within the premises.
Entrance Access Control
Our ward entrances are equipped with security door access systems, ensuring that access is restricted to authorised personnel only, mitigating potential risks and unauthorised entries.
Fire Safety Compliance
Fire-resistant materials are used throughout the hospital building, under the strict supervision of the Fire Department of Malaysia. This is to ensure that our infrastructure is designed to withstand fire hazards, prioritising the safety of everyone within our premises.
No Smoking Policy
In compliance with the regulations imposed by the Ministry of Health (MoH) Malaysia, our hospitals strictly enforce a "No Smoking" policy within our premises. Your cooperation in maintaining a smoke-free atmosphere is appreciated.
