Dr. Surayne Segaran is a Consultant Urological Surgeon with an interest in Endourology, Laparoscopic and Robotic surgery. He graduated from the International Medical University (IMU) in 2003, went on to train in the UK and was appointed to the highly competitive national training programme in Urology in the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deaneries. This led to awards of the Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons of England (Urology) in 2015 and Certificate of Completion of Training in 2016. Dr. Surayne went on to complete a fellowship in laparoscopic and robotic renal surgery at Frimley Renal Cancer Centre, and was subsequently appointed as Consultant Urological Surgeon jointly between King’s College Hospital and Guy’s Hospital in London, UK. During this time, he led the renal cancer service at King’s and was part of the regional specialist multidisciplinary team for kidney cancer.
Dr. Surayne also maintained an active practice in general urology, in particular the treatment of kidney stones and benign enlargement of the prostate as well as advanced techniques in prostate cancer diagnosis such as transperineal prostate biopsy under local anaesthesia.
